OLC Membership

Thanks for your interest in becoming an official member of Oak Leaf Church. We believe Biblical membership should be meaningful, both for you and the church, so this isn't something we take lightly. As a member, you're making three commitments.

1. There's a commitment to God. You're affirming that you are indeed a Christian who is desiring to follow Jesus, and you've been baptized to publicly show your allegiance to Him.

2. You're committed to the mission of Oak Leaf Church. You know our mission statement and you are playing an active part in leading people from where they are to where God wants them to be. This means you're serving somewhere and you're financially supporting the church.

3. You are committed to growing in your faith. No matter how long you've been a Christian, there are still steps you can take to become more like Christ. As a member, you're acknowledging that you're taking an active role in the discipleship process- either through participation in a Journey Group, by taking classes, or by personal, spiritual disciplines.

If you're ready to go, then let's begin the process.

Step One: Watch or Listen

These messages, recorded by our Lead Pastor, are approximately ten minutes in length. Watch the video of listen to the audio.

Video One: The Biblical Basis for Membership.

Video Two: What Does It Mean to Follow Jesus?

Video Three: Tithing vs. Giving

Step Two: Read Our Statement of Beliefs

Read this one-page PDF of our statement of beliefs. While it's not required, you may also want to read the Lausanne Covenant. Oak Leaf Church affirms that covenant as well.

Once you submit this application, one of our pastors will contact you with any questions or concerns. If your application is approved, we will send you the membership covenant. You and our Lead Pastor will sign that document.

Every quarter new members are affirmed and prayed over at the Leadership Summit.

Membership commitments are affirmed every year in January, meaning the rolls are completely "purged." You will not need to fill out this application again, but our members will affirm their commitment and sign the covenant every year.
