I have been thinking about doing some coaching for church planters. Not exactly sure how it would shape up, but I really want to help church planters succeed. Thinking about doing six sessions, spread out over a year. Covering practical topics like…
- staffing (conflict, development, loyalty, org charts)
- the Sunday morning experience (sermon and serving planning, AV, culture, kids, students, portability).
- Systems (financial, groups, organization)
- Marketing, outreach and big events.
- Vision and Values (casting, recasting, reigniting)
- Top Ten Mistakes We’ve Made
In addition to these six areas, I’d give you access to our staff and walk you through any specific questions. I’d invite some of my church planting friends like Gary Lamb to come give some input. We don’t know everything there is to know about church planting, but we have learned a lot, and we’re eager to help.
There are a ton of good conferences and networks and resources out there for church planting, but maybe we can help assimilate some of the information and help it make sense.
Might even offer a pre-launch track and a post-launch coaching track. If you’re interested in the coaching network, send an email to my assistant Tracy and i’ll send you the information when it’s finalized in the next couple of months.

Hey I’d love to keep learning from you. What about telecoaching a group of pastors from far and wide?
