The New Coldplay Album Stinks

Coldplay made an album that musicians will think is really cool and original, but regular people won’t like it.  Musicians and artsy people will say it’s breaking new ground and it’s fresh and it’s really cool, but there are few songs that ordinary people will hum along with. Of course, this is just my opinion, but after all, I am always right.

I see this happen in other areas as well, and I’m even guilty of it.

  • Pastors say things to impress other pastors, not to teach their people.
  • Worship leaders dress to impress other musicians.
  • Writers write TV shows to impress the critics, not the audience.
  • Chefs create menus to impress the gourmet eaters, not the common man.
  • Bloggers write to increase the size of their audience, not because they have something to say.
  • Clothing designers make clothes to impress runway models, but nobody is wearing that stupid stuff.

I like one or two of the songs off the album, but it’s just not that good.
