Free Gas

One day next week, we’re going to give away gas to the city of Cartersville. We have a gas station that is partnering with us and we’re going to buy down the price of a gallon of gas. This will result in a little extra money in the pocket of hundreds of people. While we’re pumping gas, we will wash people’s windows and invite them to church if they are interested. A huge thanks to everyone who gives to support the mission of vision of Oak Leaf Church. You guys make nice things like this possible.
Our church just did this for the first time this past weekend. What a blessing it was! And most people couldn’t understand why we would do this and some tried to give the money back “as a donation”. And we even saw some of those customers on Sunday (which isn’t what it’s about, but it’s awesome to see). We hope to hit a few more stations during the summer.
I pray that it is a great event for Oak Leaf.
