Kid Nation

Next up: a series on parenting called Kid Nation.
Tagline: Don’t let your kids rule your house.

We’re going to talk about some important and practical things this series. I’m a parent (one that doesn’t always have it all together), so I can use all the help I can get. We’ll talk about priorities, scheduling, what kids really need, discipline, spanking, and more. You’ll even be able to text message your parenting questions throughout the service and we’ll answer them live and on the spot.

We’re sending out 50,000 postcards and using inbox promotions to send out a ton of e-mails.  But the best way to get people there is to just ask them to come to church with you.  If you’ve got one person that you’re working on, then invite them this week.

I am looking forward to this series. I am sad to say that I will be out of town for the first one!! Will it be available thru podcast? I have 2 of the Dominate series but have had trouble getting this past Sundays! Any suggestions would be helpful!!

I also just have to brag on the Journey group that meets on Saturday evenings(Diane, Andy, Paige, etc)!! I left Oakleaf due to some issues I had but this group kept their hearts open, continued to invite me, call me and I know they prayed for me!! I am glad to say that I am back because this, I know, is where God wants me to be!! Oakleaf has such an awesome vision for outreach and that is what it’s all about!!! Thanks guys for opening my eyes!!
