The whole Easter event was your first and I hope won't be
your last. I was sorry you didn't taser the adults(lol).
You'll have more people next year. Maybe you could draw
the names from your registration forms for the prizes you
give away, that will help stop some of the adults from forgetting their manners and remind them the egg drop is for their children. We had a blast! As most people did.
The music was great! Just a thought for next year: No and Go sound to much alike try Stop instead. I pray you
all continue in His growth.

I had a wonderful time at the eggdrop. I heard a lot of positive feedback as well as negative. I personally think we "Oak Leaf" should submit a Thank You as well as an apology with a brief explanation of what happened in the newspaper. The reason I think this is although I am positive we reached a lot of people I think we left some with negative impressions. Thanks Oak Leaf for always going the extra mile.

I had a friend who took her 4-yr-old grandson to the eggdrop. He was at the dunking booth and was able to beat all the big kids by dunking the guy on the 2nd throw. He was so proud of himself.

I have had a lot of positive feedback on this event. I think we learn from experience. It's the best teacher. Next time, let's drop the Easter Bunny from the helicopter.

This Easter Sunday was one of the most remarkable events I have ever witness at a church gathering. I just wanted to say that it was a breath of fresh air to hear a relevant message that was boldly stated by putting someone on stage getting a tattoo! At first I was a bit in shock but then thought that this is exactly what Jesus would do. If the modern day pharasies put you down for this, then you know you are doing something right! I don't care to get a tattoo myself or suggest one for my children however, it is what is on the inside that counts. Keep up the good work and don't stop being bold for Christ.

Grand prize eggs with popular electronics = psycho adults using kids as their ticket to get in and steal the show. It was a field day for egg grand prize predators. All they had to do was rush the field with their 2 year-old in tow. Too bad they ruined the egg hunt, but the rest of the day was fun. It reminded me of black friday in 1985 and a rush for cabbage patch kids at toys r' us.

Not only should all adults, except those needing to push a wheel chair, not be allowed on the field, but there should be a limit to the number of kids that can hunt. If 8,000 is your number next year, then cut it off at 8,000.

Great pub for OLC and you get to stake claim to 5,000 people showing at an event for OLC by OLC. Awesome blog fodder too.

Next year, shoot eggs at braggart adults with one of those t-shirt cannons. Egg Blast 2009.

Hailey,

great thoughts from a 12 year old. you are a smart person!

every egg hunt i've been to had grand prizes, but somehow, we gotta let parents know that they are for the kids.

the helicopter was supposed to hover, but the crowd broke through before that could happen. we will definitely get that fixed for next year.

i think we had that thing planned perfecty for 3,000 people, but next year, we will plan for 8,000 people.

IF we do it again. right now, i'm too tired to even imagine that.

Michael,
I loved the egg drop, I just thought it wasn't planed very well.
I think that next time there should be NO grand prizes. I think that that was the reason ALL of those people showed up and were pushing people to get the eggs. I also think that next time the helicopter should hover and drop all of the eggs. Then the children should be able to go and to make sure none of the kids get in the field, the volunteers should be in front of the line, hand in hand, and then when it is ready, the volunteers should let go of each others hands and let the kids go through. It will be much safer because the kids will have to SLOW DOWN to go past the volunteers. But these are just a few of my ideas.
I just don't want anymore people to get hurt.
Also i am just a 12 year old so it is fine by me if you use one of your ideas.
